Brookwells of Haigh and BrockMill

Started by: William Waldron (5)

I am working on my family history, and looking for information on the Brookwell side (my Great Grandmother was Margaret Brookwell (Wright).
I have a copy of her obituary from the Wigan Observer (1924), but much of it is illegible. I can read that her parents were from Scotland, but the details are blurry (literally!).
I would appreciate any information on Brookwell family history especially a readable copy of the obituary.
Many thanks, Bill Waldron

Thanks mygriffiths. I have the Littles on my list of possibles, but cant find a connection to John Wright, The obit suggests Greenock, but the census's suggest Dumfries for both John and Margaret. I can find a John Wright in the Dumfries, Dumfries shire births, but no connection to the Margaret from Annan.
BTW there are a number of inconsistences in the obit, so I am not really sure about all the facts,

Find below the article that was above I have pasted it and put in the missing/ amended text in capital letters, interestingly she had 10 children 8 born in Wigan and of those 8, 7 were baptised in Warrington ? she also had a sister that married a man by the surname of Scadding as well as a daughter? Her parents names given on her baptism record are John & Peggy, John being a Carpenter
